Turning a One Campus Book Event Into a Web 2.0 Experience: The First Two Years

Abstract

This article offers a case study on the One Campus One Book (OCOB) program started and held at Dakota State University in Madison, South Dakota. The program was started as a way to promote reading, critical thinking, and discussion across the campus. Web 2.0 technologies were implemented as a main component of the program as a means to engage with students. Two years of the program are presented within this article including problems, successes, and suggestions for holding a campus- wide book club.
