Abstract
Commerce International Inc. (CII) is a Fortune 100 company based in Washington DC, is the global leader in e-commerce. Over the 50 years, CII significantly expanded their product offerings, international sites, and worldwide network of fulfillment and customer service centers. Commerce International Inc's strategic plan and key goals include reducing internal costs, continuing growth & profitability and exploiting new web-based technologies to help employees, customers and suppliers work together to improve the development and delivery of the products and services. The CII has determined to deliver the advanced functionality and easy access users demanded while still capitalizing on its existing technology and mainframe legacy application infrastructure without compromising security. This project supports these goals by providing advanced functionalities with latest technology. This application provides the web interface to host application real-time on the fly by converting the existing mainframe screens into point-and-click graphical web pages. It improves the navigation and productivity of host application. It enables the employees to access the legacy mainframe application from anywhere, anytime via internet that translate into better service and more profitable. All of this is accomplished without changing the business logic of the existing legacy application, lowering the risk and cost of deploying new business solutions.
