Abstract
The main objective of this project is to provide an inventory of databases. The inventory will contain database information centralized into a single database repository. Gathering the database metadata will be an automated and scheduled task to directly pull the data directly from application databases. The indirect data that is not typically stored within an application database such as application owner, organizational information and application descriptions will require additional processes. Reports will be created to provide end users a summary and detail information of databases including: application, database and organization associations The major deliverables for this project will include: • An extract, transform and load process to pull database information into the central repository • A centralized database containing the organizations database metadata • Standard reports to provide data to end users.
