Abstract

This project consists of an ecommerce website supporting both the sale (via PayPal) and delivery of a digital product (via Download Product Manager), Adobe Photoshop post­processing tools. The Abode Flex environment is used to create a Rich Internet Application (RIA) that, as Adobe describes the concept, "combine[s] the flexibility, responsiveness, and ease of use of desktop applications with the broad reach of the web." To harness the power of the Adobe Flex environment, the languages utilized are Actionscript and MXML for the creation of the site's framework and the database is facilitated using PHP/MySQL.
