Abstract
This project paper describes the implementation of the Student Password Distribution System (implemented at Black Hills State University), which was proposed to meet the requirement of the Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS) program of Dakota State University. At the beginning of every academic semester, Black Hills State University (BHSU) distributes usemames and passwords for accessing various University resources (such as Web Advisor, WebCT, Network, E-mail, etc.) to its new and continuing students. Until recently, this information was distributed on paper to students. The computing staff believed that by implementing a web based system, this process could be made easier and more efficient to both involved employees and students. This web based system, a new Student Password Distribution System (SPDS), was conceived to improve the productivity of the involved staff and to provide better customer service to students.
