Abstract

This document outlines the creation of a searchable information system. The information system is comprised of a database that is searchable through a web interface. The database includes brief descriptions of patents and projects, associated with South Dakota universities, and their appropriate contact information. The web interface gives users an easy search venue to the data. The information system is intended to aid entrepreneurs and companies in the develop collaborative relationships with South Dakota universities. The design, development and populating of this database is the subject of this graduate project.
