Abstract
The Campus Events is an application that has been developed for a corporate organization, which deals with various events which may be either related to college or branch. The distribution college represents more than 15 different events for campus and branch. The use of campus events for a student has become a norm in situations ,especially for paper presentations where each student requires to publish a technical paper regarding an accept ... the number of students who utilize these campus events for presentation and participating in the events is quite large and it makes it difficult for an end user to remember the names of all the events hence it becomes a cumbersome ,complicated and inefficient .And each university/institution maintains its unique portal for its events .... for students where paper presentations play a very vital role immediate handling of all events becomes essential, A physical searching of this problems rather becomes too time consuming and is prone to be inefficient. thereby having a single portal which allows all the events to be centralized becomes rather essential. In such a system the entire peripheral college events and subsequent branch events should be centralized by implementing a complete control from a single portal say an administrator who is responsible for posting events including campus events, branch events, in turn the registered user can post a comment on the event. If it is an unwanted post it can be deleted by the administrator .the administrator here will update the events on regular basics. The project has been planned to be having the view of distributed architecture, with centralized storage of the database. The application for the storage of the data has been planned. Using the constructs of oracle and all the user interfaces has been designed using the Java technologies. The database connectivity is planned using the "JDBC Connection" methodology. The standards of security and data protective mechanism have been given a big choice for proper usage. The application takes care of different modules and their associated reports, which are produced as per the applicable strategies and standards that are put forwarded by the administrative staff.
