Abstract

This project was undertaken to improve the certification of a system operator in the LP DAAC at the U.S. Geological Survey-EROS (Earth Resources Observation and Science). The system in the LP DAAC is always changing and evolving, while the system of training to monitoring this system has stayed the same over time. There were attempts to change the training program which were unsuccessful because of requirements that weren't fully met. Now because of this project that was created by using Microsoft ACCESS, HTML, and ASP, the quizzes are web-based, there is less paper work involved, which helps management to deal with less hassle and to be able to focus more on the status of the ever­changing system in the LP DAAC.
