Abstract

This report summarizes the process of the development of Windows NT 4.0 to Windows Server 2003 migration guide. It describes why the project: developing a migration guide was chosen as Master's project, the difficulties and complexities to upgrade from one network operating system to another. It is also explained why the target company was chosen, the view for the migration of operating systems, and how research for the relevant materials was conducted. The objectives for the whole projects and each of the four phases are also elaborated in this report. In the end the reference materials are cited. The deliverables for this project are very tangible: the migration guide itself and the worksheets.
