Abstract

The goal of this project is to develop a Web based Internet load posting and equipment viewing system for Computerized Management Systems, Inc which brings the network transport carriers together. Instead of Shippers, shipper agents going to carriers for getting loads and equipments the shipper net web site directly provides a national network where transport carriers, shippers, agents and logistical companies can directly connect for matching shipments with available equipment capacities. This site is developed to provide a single site to view network carriers' available equipment capacities and to maintain an interaction between various carriers to save personnel time and telephone costs. This helps the carriers to reserve the loads and can also keep track of the there loads whether they are delivered or not. The report presents various phases of shippemet.com.
